Do you remember that old favorite, Asteroids? Did you like it? If so, you HAVE to try this game. If you don’t remember Asteroids, you still HAVE to try this game-it is FANTASTIC! The rocks look more modern, the ships are cute, [but deadly] the whole game is not a 2D wire drawing.

But it’s what happens when you hit something that really entertains me. The whole screen flares up in fantastic fireworks. [I keep meaning to ask the author what he was doing in the sixties] The light show is unbelievable, and the action actually pauses, so that the screen can clear enough for you to see what you’re doing. Also if you do lose a ship, the new one doesn’t seem to come up in the middle of a pile of rocks, like the original game always did to you.

Also, I gotta tell ya, I was having some problems with the game. [which turned out, it seems, to be my dumb computer] The author worked with me for just about 2 weeks to help me get the game running, and you don’t find that kind of support from just anyone!

In the shareware version, only one player games are available. In the registered version, among other things you can play teams, and you can customize the game by having gravity or changing the bullet and ship interactions. Also in the registered version, objects have an initial amount for each level.
