Gin lovers rejoice, here is a game for you!
This game is not the usual run of the mill gin game available for
computers. Firstly, the game
has the ability to learn making play a bit more unpredictable
than other gin-type games.
Secondly, there are two optional image libraries, both containing
five extra background images
that can be used to replace to background if so desired.
There is a simple button menu that makes it easier to deal a new
hand or get the scoresheet
without interrupting play a great deal. This menu can be placed
to either side or top or
bottom. In fact most of the game play is configurable with 3
variations, 4 difficulty levels
and 8 different cardbacks. As mentioned above the background can
be changed and can be
replaced by any bitmap (BMP) file.
Annoyingly, there is a nag screen that appears on start-up.
Fortunately, it has a button that
allows play to begin. The game is licensed for 36 days or 30
sessions (whichever is longer)
which each session lasting no more than 24 hours.
There is also 16 bit version for Windows 3.x users available from
the same site, as are the
two image libraries containing extra backgrounds.
